A&A photographic portrait, Alexis flings his hair

Alexis Ochin and Arnaud Boursain are polymorphe creators and performers that strive to offer opportunities for artistic expression that are boundless in content or form.

These two artistic directors and choreographers have joined forces to form the A&A creative duo, renowned for their ability to collaborate with a variety of artists, ranging from contemporary and ballet-trained dancers to musicians, singers, and circus artists ; all with different performance backgrounds.

Their adaptable approach has brought commercial and artistic success to a spectrum of projects. Some of the companies they have been featured in include Cirque du Soleil and Nevada Ballet Theatre.

From 2021 on, A&A have also worked as authors, directors, and choreographers on various projects. These include the music video "Ecran Total" by Feu! Chatterton with Denis Lavant, the "Ignite, Return to the Elements" festival in the Sandy Valley desert, which brought together around fifty international artists, and "Le Son des Corps", a hybrid musical performance in a quartet for Les Beaux Jours company. In May 2023, they took on the Parisian cabaret Madame Arthur with "Madame Arthur vous emmène à l'opéra" in collaboration with Mathieu Jedrazak. Recently, they have worked as designers and decorators for Guy La Liberté, the founder of Cirque du Soleil, on the FROOOGS camp inaugurated this summer at the Burning Man festival. At the same time, they have served as producers and artistic directors for "Equality Ball" presented at the Palms Resorts in Las Vegas by Beyoncé's public charitable foundation BeyGOOD, alongside the Human Rights Campaign and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.

This French pair was formed in 2011 after they both worked on a dance project titled “Cinderella” by Philippe Lafeuille. One was coming from physical theater : certified in Jacques Lecoq movement technic at the International Theater School LASSAD of Brussels, and trained in acting at The International Film and Television School of Paris ; the other one was fresh out of the Paris National Conservatory of Music and Dance and graduated a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Choreographic Arts at the University of Paris 8.

A&A collaborated closely for more than seven years with the international artistic director and choreographer Yanis Marshall as assistant choreographer and tour manager during the time he worked with world stars Céline Dion, Mariah Carey, Ellen Pompeo, RuPaul, Ryan Reynolds.

In addition to their accomplished performing careers, Alexis Ochin and Arnaud Boursain have also been actively involved in teaching dance, physical theater and creative movement workshops to dancers, circus artists and eager learners around the world. They have conducted workshops in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, USA, France, Mexico, French Polynesia.

The secret to their consistency is rooted in understanding their differences and complementing each other. From poetic to practical, conceptual to intuitive, physical to intellectual,... and the list goes on, they switch labels as never to be locked up by one. Ultimately, their strength is in their differences, like two sides of a coin that complement each other, creating a precious currency of artistic expression.
